Changes (BIG) to Google SERP’s

Google has made significant changes to its search engine results pages (SERP’s) by extending the lengths of On Page Ranking Factors – specifically page titles and meta descriptions.

Page Titles now allow for 70 to 71 characters (previously 50 to 60).

Meta Descriptions have been extended up to 100 characters per line and, in some cases, 3 lines instead of 2. When displayed in 3 lines, the meta description now accommodates up to 278 characters (previously 150 to 160).
